I have a Mesa studio pre on loan and am looking for a good starting point, Does anyone have an idea on how Paul sets his up?

It`s basically a Twin front. Try bass 6 mid 4 treble 3. Depends on what you`re driving with it.

| The main thing that I remember is to use the recording outputs (equalized) for output to a power amp. That will tame the otherwise harsh high end. |

Those recording outs completely dump all highs above 5kHz. Really helps take that glassy top end away.

Treb 6. mids 4. bass 4 to 6.
