The Ole Codgers will be a picking Tuesday November 15th at Grady's garage. The SC weather has cooled down enough for us to get together for a great day of picking.
So come on down. We will start at 9:30 am.

Alvin Wilson will come down from upstate SC and join us on November 15th and Grady has heard from a few others, so make your plans for a great day of picking.Rick Aiello has re-magged my Horse-shoes for my Rickenbacker and I will have it ready to play some Jerry Byrd tunes. Bet that sucker will be GROWLING.

Hi Vern,
Did you go to Kannapolis a couple of weeks ago? I am sorry I couldn't make it,but maybe the next time.
When I read your post I saw the name Murray Jeffcoat, I don't know if we are related, but I was born in Winnsboro just North of Cayce.
If you have an E-mail address for Murray please put me in touch with him.
Thanks,
Monroe Jeffcoat |

Thanks, Bill,
Sure would be nice if Mr smooth could join us. but It's a long way from Gulfport.
Hope Katrina left you alone. Don't see how some of the Folks are making it with all the devastation I see on TV.
Best

Hi Vern,
I would also like to come, but can't make it this time.
I'm really enjoying the two CDs that you sent me.
That Rickenbacker sounds good even with the bad pickups.
I bet it's really singing now that you had the pickups repaired.
Best wishes,
Joe

Joe,
Wish you could be with us so I could see how many changes you have on the C6th.
Your CD is great, maybe next time. just heard today our Bass player, Harold Wessinger is back in the hospital, been there since Thursday with the same problem as before (couple Weeks ago). Please say a special prayer for Harold tonight.

Talked with Harold yesterday and looks like he is going to be able to join the Ole Codgers next Tuesday. Hoping that the Dr will let him go home today. We sure need him he is our one and only bass player.

Opps!!! Bad news, Doctors are keeping Harold a few more days in the hospital. Have not found his problem as yet.Went over and spent some time with him yesterday. He is ready to get out come a picking with the Ole Codgers next Tuesday.
May have to set up in his hospital room next week. I bet those Doc's would go for that!!!.

Well everything is looking good for next Tuesday Dr's have released Harold from the hospital. Now all we have to do is to get Rosemarie to feed him real good and tune him up.
Dean Neeley is coming up from Aiken bringing his MSA, so mine will not be the lonely one amonst all those Emmons. Next Tuesday is the big day for the Ole codgers.
