New favorite "Dobro" bar

I don't really play what is generally referred to as the "Dobro" style. What I play is more accurately called acoustic steel guitar. So hard core bluegrass style players may want to stay with their square nosed bars. But I have recently purchased a Jerry Byrd style bar from BJS. I had my doubts having tried the Dunlop Jerry Byrd steel and having found it lacking. But the BJS bar has now replaced my SP-2. So Butch, forget everything I said about designing your new "Dobro" bar along the lines of the SP-2. Not necessary. But I will try one if you come out with it. Hope to meet you in January at the Phoenix show.

Thanks Edward, Not knowing how popular the Jerry Byrd bar might be, I only made 6. They have been gobbled up and folks are asking for them. Got more on the way.

I am still working on a dedicated dobro bar. Had to make a few modifications to the first trial and now have several in process. I'll pass the word when they are available.

Can't wait to try one, what I said above notwithstanding.

I second the motion for the JB sized BJS bar. Being used to bullet nose shaped bars, this one is perfect.
