3 months and counting ...

I've been playing steel guitar for 3 months now (and having a ball), and have been thinking about the song I want to use to document my progress. I heard it on the radio this morning! Juice Newton's song, Break It To Me Gently ... Brenda Lee did a great job on it too. Why this song? I think it puts just about everything I have learned so far into one song, a lot of pedal and knee lever work, and a fair amount of chords too! I worked it out this afternoon, and now to try and get a good take on recording it.

Nice! Are you doing this from tab, or by ear?
Keep it up!

It's by ear Al ... I play guitar and have focused on learning the chord grips, as most of the notes you need for the melody are right there! Thanks for your comment.
