I don't know anything about the vypyr but just a few days ago I got a Peavey Nashville 112 and I love it. It sounds great for pedal steel. It is a lot lighter than 80lb. I think it is just over 40lb.

A 30w amp is too small unless you don't get outside your music room, but then you wouldn't need to carry it either! I would recommend either the Roland Cube 80XL, which is what I chose, or the Nashville 112. Both weigh around 40lbs. Search the forum on both of these amps and make your choice.

The 112 ,nuff said.Wish the 112 had come out 40 years sooner,I would'nt be walking sideways today. In the past several years since I got my 112,I have'nt had a gig it could'nt handle. Will admit it does not have the bottom that a twin with JBL'S or a Peavey 500 BUT the difference in size and weight is well worth it. YOU BETCHA,DYK?BC.
