Can any one give me some info on a Rickenbacker Jerry Byrd 10 string console guitar. I have one that is in very good shape overall except the 2 outside strings are weak for some reason. Need a value to decide if it's worth selling also. I can send pictures if interested. Email elvissteel1@frontier.com

Why not post here on the SGF, photo's of said guitar?

We'd all like to see what you're talking about.

You could also do a bit or searching around this forum using the search function. I don't think it's as "common" a sale as the Fenders or even the Gibson Console Grandes, but that means a search will isolate them even better. You might try just these words too: "Rickenbacker 10 string console guitar" . I believe the 10-strings are pretty rare.

Ebay has a feature of showing "completed sales" also, which is clickable down the left side. However, Like Ray said, - post some pictures here - and it will come to the attention of the type of people who buy that type of stuff.

Would that guitar be a short or long scale.

I recently acquired a beautiful double-8 neck of this same model, in the long scale, that matched my single-8 of like model.

That is a pretty guitar.

According to Gruhn's Guide to Vintage Guitars, the Jerry Byrd models were short scale (22.5" scale length) guitars, available with 6, 7, 8 or 10 strings. This would be one of the rarest models - I haven't seen any other ten string Jerry Byrd models prior to this.
