Sam, the same chords go together no matter what instrument you're playing. It's just how to make them come out of the instrument that varies.

Sam, check out this dobro site

I'm confident you'll receive practical guidance without the lip service...and like most sound boards, they have a search engine that may lead you to answers

I'll step up and help you out. Your question is actually about basic music theory. I dont know anything about the dobro, but Jim is right, your question isn't specific to the dobro, the same chords always go together no matter what instrument you're playing.

It is much less work to study and understand the theory behind why all of this works rather than memorize all of these charts, but this link gives you what you're looking for.

Go down to the chord progression maps section

I'm sorry Samuel, I really didn't think you made a spelling error, but how can I say it, that you wanted to have some fun with a word play.

Thanks Jim Cohen and all for the help. I guess I know them as I do play the Steel Guitar and seem to be doing Ok on it. I have been playing the Dobro out every Wed. night and seem to be picking it up pretty good. I thought it was a different Chord set up bvut now I see it is'nt.
Thanks Every one for your help. Jim hope you have a good time at the RISGA Steel Show.Having a great time down here with the Steel Guitar jams Anna and I have been running. We even have Sid Hudson coming a few time when he can get the time. he is now selling Live Steel Strings and they have a better ring to them and no breakage.

Allowable Exceptions "cords is chords" OK 8)
Why would an A13b5b9 chord on a pedal steel be called something different on a dobro.
It would be a #*&#@$ chord on any instrument.

The most valid thing I can say is what is the key and what is the progression, and if you don't know what I am talking about,go to you tube and check out music theory. It will change your World.
