My in laws saw Meryl at Cheyenne frontier days this week and said his steeler was great. Anyone know who it was?

That would be Norm Hamlet, in his 46th year with Merle Haggard. Great player and great guy.

Yeah, Norm's been the steel player and bandleader for longer than I've been a Merle Haggard fan. I signed on at the age of 12 and have been lovin' it ever since. Very Happy
