first lap steel performance to the steel world.-video

Post by Jeff Spencer »

Sorry for the dress standard and clutter in the background  but I just started the camera for fun and to see if I could do this whole you-tube thing. Feel free to comment as I am newbie to the steel guitar thing as you can see with blocking and slants. Thanks to Doug Beaumier for tracks and tab - loving it!! The lap steel is one of my own builds.

Wow! Great job, Jeff. You're making good progress! Nice looking lap steel too. Thanks so much for mentioning my arrangement in your video description. Keep up the good work!

Jeff, that sounds great! Nice guitar too, I like the pickup. I'm in the same boat as you. I go to an Open Mic every Monday and the same hosts rotate there every 4 or 5 weeks. Last Monday the host smiled and said "you've been practicing!" I think it's more playing than practicing. We get better without realizing. I call it baptism by fire!
