.This week we had the pleasure of having the great Tommy White to entertain us frozen Norwegians with his tasteful playing,together with Vince Gill and a great band. They had 3 shows here,and I was at the last one,a festival in Breim where I also played with a local band. I have always loved the music of Vince Gill,as I am sure many of you do as well,with lots of nice steel playing by John Hughey.It was fantastic to have them in Norway,we don`t have too many great acts coming over,so this was "Christmas in July". Tommy did a very nice job on his Show Pro,as a steeler myself one could always wanted more steel when he have a man like Tommy in the band,but that`s the way his records are as well,not steel all over,but all in all,a very professional and great show.Got to talk to Tommy a little,and he was a very friendly and nice guy! I hope they had a great time here,and they are welcome back any time!

Too bad I missed that one Egil. I was back in Norway May 15 to June 12. It must have been a treat to hear and talk to Tommy.
Didn't see too many steel players this time around....In fact the only one I met was Tommy Roten on the Kiel ship. Nice surprise indeed!

Nice to meet you at the Kieltrip Bent, it was a big coincidence i think, and a nice surprice! I did unfortunately not hear Vince at his concerts in Norway this time, but I'm enjoying some of the clips on Youtube, here is Look at us (from Arendal):

Shame I missed it, I am going over to Norway in August.
Hope Tommy is going to the Dallas TSGA in 2013 too.
