Hello,
I just browsed through Show-Pro's web site and there they make a reference to a Jazz Album that Tommy White is about to release.
Is this the album with Buck Pizzarelli and the West Texas Tumbleweeds "Diggin' Up Bones"
Or is there an another Jazz album with Tommy White?

I just received my copy of 'Diggin Up Bones' and in my opinion the 2 best things about it are Tommy White's playing and the female singer Rebecca Kilgore. There is some fine fiddling too but I'm in it for the steel.
I will say that is sounds like they all had a good time making that album. (How's that for damning with faint praise.)

I understand that he's doing a second CD with the Pizzarelli's... and I'm hopin' this one will be a jazz CD. What a great opportunity. They obviously dig his playing, judging from the first CD, where he got lots of airtime. _________________ www.JimCohen.com

Bumping this post.
Tommy White totally kills it on this CD, which sounds like a live session. What a great player (and clearly the Pizzarelis agree, based on the number of solos they give).
I just bought this, and highly recommend it! |
