Just amazing to say the least. One thing I like about Buddy Emmons is he smiles when he plays. I wish that I could do that as well.

Sid, Is that Buddy playing bass guitar on the Roger Miller video? I remember Roger telling the story that Buddy Emmons told him he was crazy that no one would buy that song. Well, he was wrong just that one time.

In regards to Sid's post, second video; was that Paul Franklin standing behind the mixing console?

Buddy looks a lot cooler playing the whiny thing.

1:58 on Drivin' Nails just frizzen' kills me; it's the phrasing. And 2:09 where he uses his right foot on the third pedal. Awsonimity. E is ineffable.

I don't think Buddy worked a day in his life, with that Big Smile on his face he was having too much fun to be working.

Buddy was sure smiling on that last video posted by Sid. I just cannot say anything about Buddy Emmons that has not been said before. I told some this week Buddy just had something about him that drew people to watch him play. I can sit down and just watch him tune.

Great steel...and I got my new signature line from the comments on YouTube.

What I notice is that everyone had to smile at the camera. It was required in those days. Here, Eddie is singing a sad song, but he's required to smile, which takes away all the words.

Great posts Sid! Watching Roger sing "That's The Way I Feel," right after Buddy's solo, gives one a glimpse of just how funny he was. Just with an extra glance he cracks them both up. I wonder how they recorded that stuff and if Roger or both of them prerecorded it? Otherwise how are they mic-ing roger so clearly?

Regarding Buddy's smile, my wife once said, "If you sounded like that, you'd be smiling too."
