Bob SAxton just pulled up into my yard and found a parking place next to all the downed trees. DSSGA members will be playing at the Gulfport VFW tomorrow, Sat. Oct 1st for the benefit of the first responders who have been working so hard here on the coast. The VFW ballroom is chocked full of pallets, sleeping bags etc. The lounge will be our band stand this time. All finances raised will be donated to the VFW to assist in purchasing and cooking hot food for these wonderful people who have given up so much to help out here on the coast. We will start the music at 12 noon and go until we can't. we have about seven out of town steel players coming to help out plus all the local guys too. Anxious to hear Bob Saxton again along with Billy Carr, Danny Harrell, Ben O'Dell, J.R. Jones. Bob Saxton just walked into the room and said "...tell 'em I made it". It is a great pleasure to have Bob here.
Thanks to all for your great support.

Hey Mr. Bill, I am really looking forward to tomorrow. With you, the great Billy Carr, one of my favorites Mr. Mike Brewer, Royce Tarver, and all the players with the DSSGA it will be a great day of music and fellowship. It is always a pleasure to watch and hear you play Mr. Bill, you are the best! If I could get Billy Carr to slow down a little bit, I could steal some of his licks, he and my mentor Royce Tarver are both super pickers! See yall tomorrow, looking forward to it. |

Hey DSSGA! I'm so happy to hear ya'll are back at it! The South will rise again!!!
Seriously though, this is awesome news and a great event. I wish I could have made it down. You guys just let me know if there is anything I can do to help. I know I'm up here in the midwest but rest assured I'll do whatever I can!
Bill, I'll be sending you an email here shortly. I have an idea - yes, you should worry!
Love you guys

Bill
I tried to send an email but apparently I have the wrong email address. I did reach some fella in Illinois and he thinks my idea is great!
Any chance I could get your email address again?

Sorry I had to miss it, blame it on Rita. Miss Rita's not as nice as Miss Lana. Hope you had a good jam, I'm sure you did.
