Just a heads up that you will be in my "Musician Spotlight" set on next Friday's "Swingin' West" show. Hopefully, the entire world will be listening to 10 plus minutes of Roy Ayres.
More later, amigo!
Mike
MIke's show is on each Friday from 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. on the internet at www.swinginwest.com

Roy,
That was so nice of you to thank me publicly on the Forum and give my show a plug. It is always my pleasure to play your music and now I'll even look for more of an excuse to play it.

Walter,
You are so right! There are no excuses necessary to play Roy with Pee Wee King and the Golden West Cowboys from the 1940's & 50's or with Slim Dossey of the 1960s. The same goes for his material from his fine recent CDs "Footprints" and the latest, "Steelin' With Friends."

It's Friday. I just checked Mike's play list for today to find that he has my stuff scheduled for the first hour (Starts at 1:00 Eastern. Three songs listed: (1) Slowpoke -- looks like the original version with Redd Stewart on vocal; (2) Nothing But My Pride recorded in the 60's with Slim Dossey (Sons Of The Pioneers) on vocals; and (3) Statue Of Fool steel instrumental.

Hi Mike,
I caught the show. I hadn't listened to the original Pee Wee King recording of Slow Poke for some time; brought back a lot of good memories of the 50's. Thanks for the exposure.
I also enjoyed a lot of the other western swing stuff -- especially that great Texas Playboy music with my old pal, Bobby Koefer, tearin' up that old Fender.
Keep up the good work.

Roy,
Thanks so very much for listening! It is always my pleasure to play your music on my "Swingin' West" show as well as the other Western Swing and steel guitar artists. Your old buddy Bobby Koefer really can cook and he sure did on the old Glenn Miller standard "In The Mood" that I played on today's show.
Thanks again for listening! I have another by you on next week's show which will be mostly PSGA.
