Can someone point me in the right direction?

I am looking for a cheap 8-string lap steel to tune to C6.

$300 is my approximate limit.

Any help would be great!

Thanks,
Nick

I have to recommend the Dynalap, by forumite Mark Vinbury. Beautiful, great tone, and very nice to hold.

Gary. The Artisan lap is 6 strings. He is looking for an eight string. Too bad the artisan does not come in 8 strings. THAT would also a big seller.

If you have the skills and desire to finish a Dynalap, I would recommend looking into it. I'm pleased with mine.

I can recommend the Dynalap 8. I got one last Wednesday (thanks Dave Image and it honks.

I tried to look up the Morrel Little Roy Wiggins S-8. They don't list it on the Morrel website and Musicians Friend says it's discontinued.

It is terrifc to see such nice things being said about my Dynalap kits.
Thank you folks very much.
I have Jerry Wallace to thank for his great TT-8 pickup which I feel has played a large part in whatever sucess the kits have had.

Due to a backlog of my regular cabinetry work and in an effort to keep things manageable I have temporarily stopped listing on eBay.
I am still making the kits and will take orders by eMail at dynalap@aol.com .
Pictures of both the Dynalap and Dynalin kits are available as well as an information sheet by eMailing me.

A web site is in the works, also revisions to the existing designs as well as a new model.
I'm trying to work up a practical shape that that can be ganged up to form nice looking multi-neck instruments.Seemed simple at first but tricky to make them for a reasonable price.
I listed a bare bones 8 string parts kit on eBay (pickup, tuners, electronics, bridge, nut and tuner blocks)but it didn't seem to generate much interest. I plan to test the waters in the other direction and offer some finished instruments along with the kits.

I also need to get on with my practicing.
When I see Reece Anderson winding up through the fretboard of one of his beautiful SuperSlides it's a real education in this business.

Here's the pics Mark sent me. That purple heart makes a fine looking axe. I'm trying to think of a good reason _*NOT*_ to buy another one Image.
