I am looking for pedal steel, or non-pedal players, or steel guitar friends in the Idaho, Oregon, Utah, or surrounding areas.

I have met a few, and would like to meet some more, and hopefully organize a steel guitar asociation for this area of the country.

We have secured a place to hold meetings,
and jam sessions, but we need some people!
Anybody out there? Don't lurk like a jerk,
Call or e-mail me. Think of the great times we could have, or new friends we could make.

Let's get the steelers in this area together
for fun, friendship, fellowship, shared love of a wonderful instrument, and just good steel music!

My e-mail address is sevywlbr@msn.com
My telephone number is (208) 794-9124

Please call or e-mail, You don't have to live with this steel guitar addiction all alone. There are other people just like you in your area. It could be like a support group for people who need, love, play, listen to, or have even heard of a pedal steel guitar.

My forum friends, give this topic some bumps.
Help me connect with some steelers way up here in Idaho.

Will, just some advice, get a couple or three players and start out. Have your jams and meetings and have it on the same time schedule so people can plan ahead. Word gets around pretty fast and you'll be getting new players as time goes by. Just don't give up and it doesn't take many players to have a good time. Get some kind of back-up band or rythmn section and go for it! They'll come. Three years ago, four of us started the KSGA and we have our 3rd show this weekend. Have between 35 & 40 steelers playing. Good luck! Ray

Will,
I'm touring with this show on 'upright steel' and will be in Nampa on November 3rd and in Idaho Falls om November 4th.
If you'd like, I'll put you on our guest list and perhaps we could hook up before/after the show.
Lemme know . . .

Hi Will, Don't know how close you are to Spokane, but the Northwest Steel Guitar Assn is having a jam there Oct 9 & 10th. See this thread "http://steelguitarforum.com/Forum4/HTML/009226.html".
They have members from Wash, Ore and Idaho for sure. They are also having a Steel show next May. Jim
