Neo/Alnico

Post by Lee Jeffriess »

Im not really sure how to correctly phrase this, but does anyone know a cross reference for Alnico V and Neodymium ?
IE, 1 oz of neo ? = 2 oz of alnico V. I figure by weight is the easiest way of quantifying it.
Weber and Rick A, have obviously figured this out and no doubt its top secret.

Thanks Rick, that is interesting, but still doesn't answer my question.

The flux density is different for Neo, Alnico, and Ceramic magnets used in speakers. There is no simple answer to your question, in my opinion. There is a lot of information on the link posted by Rick.
