Just wanted to give yas a heads up, that if your in the northeast and in need of a PSG set-up or repair, I highly recomend taking your ax to John Widgren in Ct. I'm in the greated Phila area and made the trip up to Ct on Wed of this week. It's about a 3 hour drive each way from down here and I would and most likely will again. John gave me a great deal for the quality of work and time that he put into my guitar. He set up my GFI and it's never played so smoothly. Practicing is no longer a tunning/adjustment session, now it's all fun and games. Also I would take a trip up for a lesson, because he's an outstanding player. ![Very Happy](images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) |

Hey Dan,
Thanks for the nice post, I sure appreciate it. One of the great things about tech-ing guitars, is meeting the talented, dedicated and genuinely nice people that tend to come with them. It was a pleasure.
Always glad to help.
best,

I agree Dan, John is a great tech and player also.
John is the only one in the Northeast that ever touches my steel. If I was closer to Nashville I would recommend and trust Mike Cass but John is only two hours away and Mike is 14.
You can't go wrong with either one of these guys. Mike tore into my P/P about 10 years ago and John keeps it in top shape. I'm honored that both of them have helped me out a time or two. |

John is both an excellent player and steel technician! I bought my Zum from him around 1995 and it was set up just right. A few years ago he adjusted it and it felt like velvet again, after many gigs.
His playing, both traditional and "out of the box" is just superb. I'm very happy that we have someone of his caliber in our neck of the woods.
John, isn't it time for you to play as set at the PSGA show again?

John also did some excellent work on my Zum AND Derby. Yes, he is a great player, but more than that.....he is a super nice guy too.
I would recommend him highly ! |

Thanks to all my fobros for posting such kind words of support.
When I am not playing,(always my first priority) I love working on steels. If you need to get your steel up and running to it's maximum mechanical potential, from set-ups to tweeks and repairs to full mechanical re-builds, please give me a call or send an email.
I also buy and sell high quality used steels,(when I have something good) and am an authorized dealer for Telonics products.
Best to all
