I got roped into a drive to Shreveport next week. I'll be there the night of the 6th, Friday and part of Saturday.
If anybody is playing or knows something fun to check out let me know. I'll have my steel with me also if anybody wants to let me sit in.

call shreveport music ahead of the trip and ask for bud christian or how to track him down.
he plays a lot of shows and looks for an excuse to have a pickin'. he plays a lot with ivey and will know anything available. drop by the louisiana hayride museuum at the municipal auditorium. low cost but much history. across the street is the office hangout of james burton.worth a visit.

Well, Jack nailed it.But why would you want to sit in on someone's gig.You make it sound like a chore, but Ill bet you have a great time.I dont know if Bud is still doing the Sunday show.They have rebuilt the old La. hay ride(the old radio show bld.) and it is something to see.By the way, there is a stateu of Elvis and Richard Burton outside the Blg. Have some fun.
