On my Sierra, what is this hole for? It is smaller than the ones used for the cross shafts. And all three supports have them in line, as if a rod would fit in, parallel to the cross shafts.
Thanks,[/img] |

A stop? I'm also curious about the purpose of the set screw in there. Whatever goes there ain't supposed to turn. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

This is a hole for wires, that go to a switch, that is mounted on the back apron. Tne switch allows for the use of "split" coil pickups. Two of my Sierras' have this switch. A nylon sleeve fits into the hole. |

but see no setscrew.

Russ, I just expected a set screw (or cap screw) is the purpose of the threads. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)
