John Heinrich has recently returned from a successful trip to Europe where he
was flown over to help with a recording project for a producer by the name of
Michael Reitt. John worked in Europe for many years and still has contact with
many of the friends he made while over there. This Wednesday Sept 7, John will be flying to Boston, Mass. to do record work and shoot a video with an ex-Nashvillian by the name of Tony Sarno www.tonysarno.com.

John Heinrich is ONE SUPER steel player (& Sax player) and it is always my pleasure to play on "Swingin' West" any of the Western Swing and Texas dance hall oriented session material that he has worked on or cuts from his own fine steel guitar CD.

I only met John one time a couple of years ago -- but we have become rather good friends since that time through regular email correspondence. On reason is that we both like "big band" music of the 1030's and 1940's variety -- including big-band jazz like Pete Rugulo's arrangements with Stan Kenton's band. John is a super talented guy who can play a country gig on steel, or hold his own on sax with a jazz group, or sit down ane write a score for an 18 piece orchestra. A very impressive young man.

(Incidentally, I just received an email from him this morning.)

First let me say it's great to be back and thanks Miz Jane for the Promo! I was kind of surprised to see it! Mike, Roy, Don & John thanks for the kind words! John, I was in such a whirlwind I didn't have time to think between eight notes otherwise I would have contacted you. I will be coming back to Europe sometime probably next year and I will definitely let you know. Well, this morning I've got to go to Boston so I'll see you on the forum later.

All the best to everyone,
