To re-size photo's for e-mail, I select a photo from the photo library, then click on the "email" icon at the bottom of the screen. I get a message asking for my user name and password. Apparently I have to set up a user or screen name followed by mac.com. I don't know how to do this. Anybody understand what I am asking. This is for iPhoto on an iMac computer. Just want to be able to downsize photo's for e-mail but can't figure out how to do it. |

You don't need to set up an account with Apple - you can use your own email account. You DO have to have the email account you currently use set up so that iPhoto will recognize it.
In iPhoto, select Preferences from the iPhoto menu at the top of the screen. Then in the Preferences screen, select the Accounts button. If your current email account isn't listed there, click on the + button at the bottom right of that screen to add an email account and follow the steps to add your existing email account. _________________ Brad’s Page of Steel

Cal and Brad, thanks for your help. Brad, I tried your suggestions first since it was the path of least resistance. I opened the preferences file, but there was no Accounts button. HOWEVER, there was a box that just said "mail" I clicked on it and it had AOL, as a choice, so I clicked on AOL and put it in the box in place of "mail". That did it, since I am on AOL. Works just fine now. A simple fix. Thanks so much for your help. |
