I have been cleaning out my old boxes and came across some late 70s vintage tubes.
1. a pair of 6L6WGB tubes, packed in 2-78. They are Sylvania, USA marked and in the original boxes. I believe to be a matched pair, as I remember buying them as such.
2. an additional single 6L6WGB tube packed 4-77.
3. a 5-pack of 12AX7A GE tubes in the original boxes made in Korea.
4. a single 12AX7A Sylvania tube in the original box, made in Japan.

I own a Fender 63 Bandmaster and a 70's vintage, black Super Champ amp. However, I don't do amp repair or troubleshooting.

Some feedback as to the value of these tubes, etc. would be most appreciated. I would rather see someone who does repair purchase them and put them to use, and when I need repair I can rely on my repair person to determine what tubes, if any that I need.

Are the old tubes better quality than the new?

Working 6L6's and 12AX7's of any flavor are to be cherished and treasured.

Don't forget to include them in your will as inheritances specially assigned.
