I didn't dig the song or singing much, but Leisz sounds his usual musical-as-hell, and I would hire that drummer in a half-a second!!!! I will never understand why 95% of the drumstick owners in the world won't just simply RELAX! Thanks for posting this.

I agree it's not Jim's best work, but as a songwriter he's as good as it gets.

It's fascinating to me how the director couldn't find the lap steel during his solos, even though everyone else in the band is looking directly at Greg. This is one of the reasons why I've started standing when I play.

I just found the album, "Legends of the Incredible Lap Steel Guitar" from 2003.

Something I should own?

It's a very good overview of contemporary lap steel playing, featuring in particular one of my favorite Greg Leisz songs "Santo's Dream".
