It's never too early to be thinking of Dallas TSGA shows.
I can confirm, I am planning on attending the 2013 show at the Sheraton.
Dates for the Jamboree are from Thursday 8th March to Sunday 11th March 2013.

Best wishes from Germany

Probable reason for two dates, is that Thursday night show is a free show and features players who could not, or did not want to be on the main show.
A ticket for all three days will be sold for the dates March 8,9 and 10. If you plan to be there all weekend ,purchase this ticket. as it is cheaper.
For those who can not make the whole show, daily tickets are sold. The cost of a daily ticket is slightly higher per day but still very reasonable for at least 9 to 10 hours of music. Sunday is a shorter day beginning with a one hour church service in the morning and closes around 4:00 in the afternoon.

For those wishing to attend the non-pedal room only, on Friday and Saturday no ticket is required. Donations to cover expenses are voluntary.

I've left it a bit late to book at the Sheraton.
They are fully booked when I called them today.
What's the name of the hotel across the bridge?
I will try and get in there....

The Westin Hotel. The Red Roof Inn usually has a few vacancies, and some of the UK boys stay there. They are a good bunch of folks.

I stayed at the Doubletree last year... overpriced and cheesey. I hear the Holiday Inn Express is the overflow for the Sheraton... and that it's a good place to meet folks etc. Not sure whether it's booked up yet or not... I have relatives in the area I may stay with this year.

I'm in... $95/night without top floor/breakfast... otherwise you can be way up and pay $40 extra for the breakfast... it's good, but it's not *that* good.
Look forward to seeing all of you there.

Check a stay on the web for the next weekend 15th/16th (it shows to be fully booked for 8th/9th)... normal rate is $239/night. Pretty sure 95$ is a big discount.

I tried to reserve a booth for Live Steel Strings back in May.
I recieved an email back and they said they didn't have any more booth space available.
So, I guess we won't be going.
I wonder if it's crossed anyones mind they may need a larger facility?
booth?

Sid,
Would you consider sharing a booth with somebody? It would cut booth expence in half.
I'll find out if I have one and if I do you're welcome to share mine.

I wouldn't be too surprised if someone has to cancel at the last minute too; my guess is it happens most every year.
