Topic: Removing Web Sites From "Easy Access" |

| I'm sure the subject line is "confusing",,,,my problem is,,,,in the area at the top of the page (Win7)where I would normally type a web address (or I guess it's called a URL),,,on the far right end of it,,is a star, a drop down arrow, and a little clockwise circle. OK? When I click on the drop down arrow, a menu drops down that list some previously visited web sites,,,when I select one of these web sites, it is immediately accessed,,very convenient,,,except,,,a couple of the web sites i.e. Facebook,,is (supposed to be) password protected!! But the way it is, if ANYONE sits down at my computer, clicks on that drop down arrow, clicks on that website,,,they go directly to the web page (Facebook), by-passing the password log in page. How do I remove the web sites from the drop down menu,,or keep them from being "remembered" as recently visited sites. |

Be sure that you have actually logged OUT of facebook before you close the browser, don't just close it to leave when you're done at facebook. See if that solves the problem. If not, wait right here and someone smarter will come along...

Regarding Facebook. On the login page, there is a checkbox that says "keep me logged in". Do you have that checked? If so, every time you fire up FB, you won't need to use your password. You will actually have to log out of FB when you are done using it and before you close the browser to make the login sequence a requirement. When you fire up FB in your normal manner, do you have to go through the log in sequence?

If someone wants to use my computer, I log out of my own PC profile and give them Guest access.

If someone wants to look something up on my computer, I make them use one of my alternate browsers (Internet Exploder or Google Chrome).
I keep other computers in the house so family or guests can browse the net, play games and Facebook (new verb!). They are limited by me to using Limited User accounts. I take care of all admin stuff, like updates, installs, additions, printers, etc.
If Sonny is browsing with Firefox, he can open Tools > Options > Security and delete individual saved passwords from previously saved logins. Then, he can de-select the default option to allow the browser to remember passwords, or add Facebook.com to an "Exceptions" list (not remembered).

Perfect! Go to Tools > Options > Security and add facebook.com to the Exceptions list. Then go to Saved Passwords and look for https...facebook.com and remove your saved password for it.
After that, you must type your user name and password to login to Facebook.
