What a great night!! Doug's steel playing is flawless! what more can anyone say about Doug Jernigan?! He has a heart-felt testimony that more churches need to hear.
Russ Hicks is one of the most talented musicians I've met...Russ played a mean electric guitar and my 'little brother' Pat Coyne locked in on his Fender bass with Ron Stroup on solid drums. They poured their hearts into some of the greatest gospel music I've heard.
As everyone knows, Laney Hicks is one of the finest singers anywhere and she truly encouraged and blessed everyone with her wonderful voice.
Ron spoke a very challenging message. It was a true delight to see such terrific and talented singers and musicians having fun sharing their faith! A night to remember...
PS...Did I mention Doug and Russ are two of my better students?? HA HA |

Hey Bill...really enjoyed visiting with you...didn't we have a wonderful time, and as you noticed, I know when to bring my six string and leave the steel at home.
Hope to see you in St. Louis, I hope. |
