Well, here we go again! Continuing in the great Saluda tradition, one hall of Famer, Larry Sasser, and the unparalleled teaching of Chuck Lettes. Lots of great local players, like Clyde Bloodworth, who plays killer stuff on C6. The "Georgia Gang," Larry, Roger, Bill, Bill, new Forumite Wayne Smith, my pal Woody Ledford---folks, we've been hit pretty hard with illnesses, let's make this one a celebration of life! Come and enjoy the good fellowship that's as much a part of Saluda as the terrific music! And as much as I love ol' Larry, when you get here, please tell Yvonne, "Steve says 'Hello.'"
As always, all proceeds go to the Shriners' Hospitals.
All the headaches go to Charles!
One little thing---if you steelers who plan to play would call Charles, Jerry, or myself (864) 456-9547, it would help us get a better idea of how to schedule this thing. We want everyone to be able to play an equal amount of time, and we want to allow each player as much time as possible.
SEE YOU THERE!!!!

Just talked to Chuck Lettes and reserved a spot for his instructional seminar on Saturday, August 13th. I have attended two of Chuck's seminars at Saluda (2002 & 2003). Chuck is a great teacher and it is a real treat to have him in Saluda once again. There are plenty of spots still available and believe me, this is money WELL SPENT! Chuck's tabulature is very easy to follow and his rhythm tracks are top notch, but the best part of his instructional material is the CD that he provides to his students. Everything that Chuck says and does is already on the CD, which means, no taking notes in a hurry or trying to record the audio for later review. You can relax and absorb the material as it is given during the seminar and then take the CD home. It is like sitting in the seminar all over again to review the material at your own pace.
Please give Chuck a call at (303)797-1134 (Denver CO. time) to reserve a spot and ask about the details. The only way to keep these instructional seminars coming to us is to support them!!
See ya in Saluda!

Hey, Ernest, let me answer for Charles---BRING IT ON!!! The best backup band ANYWHERE, good hot dogs, hamburgers, strong coffee, homemade cakes, good people to hang out with....Where else would you wanna be???

Stephen I know you do not know me but Barney Miller does and Doc Bob Strum, we have a mutual respect for each other , because we like the way the other plays, I love Doc Strum. We played the Clinton opra and Hollonville and the shrine show in Atlanta.
My whole family loves and supports country music. I wrote a song about steel guitar in country, we did it at Clinton, may do it there, if you support singing. Some shows or jams frown on singing. Rob Parker want to do it again at Saluda like we did in Gray Ga.
This should take it to the top where it belongs till curton time.

I'll vouch for Ernie's photography - he's a good camera-man!
Also, I enjoyed Ernie's song in Hollonville! Y'all are going to love it!
By the way, Steve - Ernie has a photo manipulation program that can make you look as good as Larry. Seriously, Steve is just fishing for compliments. He's one hunk to be a 50 year old man!

Hey, Donna, I'll be singin' and playin' the steel solo on "Bartender's Blues" by George Jones. I'm still not sure what other song to play yet. I would love to know if Tommy knows "Tonight I Climbed The Wall" by Alan Jackson. I am ready for Saluda! Brett, Emmons S-10, Morrell lapsteel, GFI Ultra D-10
