Happiness is....
Happiness is hanging out with a friend and fellow steel player of 43 years having cocktails at 4:00 am watching videos of Lloyd Green & Tommy White, Hal Rugg & Buddy Emmons. My friend is Cecil Johnson of Ft. Worth, Tx. I first met Cecil in 1969 when he was playing for Little Jimmy Dickens. We have been like brothers ever since.

Sounds like my kind of gig! Actually, that was a pretty common occurance for some of us couple of decades ago. After playing, we'd hang out in the bar until 3:00 am, and then go sit in the car and listen to WSM and cassettes, and swap stories 'til sunup...never quite realizing how fast it would all go away, or how much the world would change....hanging out with a friend and fellow steel player of 43 years having cocktails at 4:00 am watching videos of Lloyd Green & Tommy White, Hal Rugg & Buddy Emmons.
Golly, I sure miss those times.
