my name is sam, im in everett, wa. i picked up a 54 supro student special, learnin to play it in c6. its slow goin, but its goin none the less. lookin forward to readin through here and pickin up some tips along the way.

Welcome aboard Sam...you're in good company here. I've been learning for the past 60 years. I started on a Gibson 6 string Lap Steel and the C-6th tuning too.
There's plenty to learn...and plenty of players that will try to help you.
Don't be afraid to ask questions because on here we have members that can answer anything you want to know.

And from Ontario, Canada, Sam, welcome aboard. I began taking Hawaiian guitar lessons in 1948 on a Stella acoustic guitar, and at 74 I haven't stopped playing or learning. There's nothing more friendly or helpful than this Forum.
