Many thanks to the Campbell Brothers

Last Saturday, the Campbell Brothers graciously backed the many steels players at the Steel Summit in Ottawa, Canada. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Chuck, Darick, Phil, Carl and Enrico for making this event truly memorable. A class act!
At one point, Dave Lindley, Greg Leisz, Bill Frisell, Harry Manx, Jonathan Candler and myself joined the Campbell Brothers for the grand finale. Needless to say that it is an experience I will never forget!
I also want to thank the organizer of the Steel Summit, Michael Bate. Pulling off an event of this kind is truly remarkable.
Kind regards!Bob

Thanks for the kind words, Bob, but credit for the success of the Steel Summit must go to the players—-especially the Campbell Brothers. They are a wonderful bunch of guys. No egos, what-you-see-is-what-you-get. Ditto for Bill Frisell, Greg Leisz and David Lindley.
My personal highlights: The combination of Frisell/Leisz/Lindley on “I’m So Lonesome,” Lindley teaming up with Harry Manx on J.J. Cale’s “Tijuana,” and Jonathan Candler’s rockin’ fuzz solo on “Chicken Shack,” which had Phil and Chuck Campbell waving mock towels to “cool” him off.
Like you said, Bob, a night to remember.

Wow! If only it was on DVD........!!!
The Campbell Brothers are the greatest bunch of guys.......gotta be the only band in the world with TWO steel players!
And killer players at that!
