I have an older Sho-Bud (Evans) amp that is in need of repair. The new Evans company has no support for an amp of this age. Does anyone know of anyone that can repair the amp?

Thanks
Joe

Joe, how are you and Mrs. Cleo and the boys doing. Hope this finds you well. Have you tried Derrell Stevens over in Shreveport? I think his contact info is on the forum somewhere. If this is the one you got from me and if it comes up for sale I would like the first shot at it.

I'm sure you'd prefer a repairman who is within a reasonable distance. However, if that doesn't work out there is a repairman who does virtually all amp repairs for Indianapolis and surrounding areas. His name is Kevin Silva and he owns Uncle Alberts Amplifier Repair.

As a collector and player I have taken many a sick amp to him. Those have ranged from the first Gibson amps on up. He is experienced with all makes and models. In fact, I mentioned to him that I have a Sho-Bud Christmas tree amp with non-functioning tremolo and he replied that he had worked on some of them. His shop is spotless with its walls covered with stars' promo pics thanking him for his work. The work is top rate. He also repairs keyboards, restores Fender Rhodes and Hammond organs, Leslies, and does amp recovering inluding tweed.

Again, just in case you can't find someone locally.
