New Custom Build by RB Customs

Post by William Craven »

My buddy Rick at RB Custom guitars started this lap steel recently for me. He's been sending me update photos and I wanted to share. The inlay is all wood and has our band name on the fretboard. I'm pretty excited about it.

That looks really nice. I prefer two-pickup laps for versatility.
Curious about the band name!

That's a lot of real estate behind the bridge--are you planning on something there like a Hipshot trilogy? Also, what's with all the bridge post holes? You're doing a separate bridge and tail piece?

Finished

Post by William Craven »

Here is Rick's finished product. It's his first lap steel but from the looks of it, it won't be his last. The bridge is an LP style, SD humbuckers, wooden rings, knobs, and control panel. It should be here next week and I'll youtube test it. I'm pretty excited. His inlay work has my head already spinning for designs for our next project, but that's my graphic designer side.
