I have a new Gospel CD titled "The Unspoken Word." I just picked them up and will have them for sale in Chattanooga at the Choo-Choo Show tomorrow. This CD is in a very contemporary style. I've tried to pick songs that have crossed over from the gospel field to secular and vise-versa. We recorded the tracks at Dark Horse Studio in Franklin, Tennessee, one of the best studios around, using once again the same core of musicians that I used on the "My Favorite Things" CD. The song titles are:

Hey Randy,
I heard a an early copy you gave Fred Justice. It really is a nicely done piece of work! Good selection of songs, good licks,....it's just plain GOOD! Will definitely get a copy for myself.

Just as I said about Buck Reid's new CD,,,this CD of Randys' is unbelievablly good. Top shelf material and superb execution. Do whatever you have to do to get one.

Got my copy yesterday and have about worn it out. Another great performance by the master. I like to sit down with other players' cd's and see which licks I can steal but I gotta tell you when you try to do that with Randy's work you learn real quick that he adds a little "magic" and it don't look like this magician is willing to tell all his secrets  . Folks if you want some of the best listening in gospel...you gotta order this CD. My Favorite cut is #2...Beyond the Sunset. It's a special song to me and Randy...what a great piece of work.

We just got our copy of this incredible CD of Randy's.
When I talked to him last year in Phoenix, he was shy and all smiles but when he occupies his "Workshop," he allows us to stroll through his soul as the inner man speaks from the heart.
We are three parts, body, soul and spirit. The spirit keeps the body moving but the soul is deep down piloting the ship and when a person is in command of his talent, their soul speaks volumes.
This is another example of Randy's inner-man sharing his love of God and we've been given the chance to bask in that testimony.
I would buy Randy's playing of Webster's Dictionary because I know it'd be a trip through Eden. Thanks again Randy, for speaking your heart. |
