ZB Allen Head Tuning Thingy

Greetings

Does anyone have any of those allen head tuners at the endplates? A couple of mine are a tad short. I tried to make a couple by drilling and taping the appropriate allen head screw, but the metal is too hard and the tap breaks before I can get more than 5 or 6 threads into it. I tried to anneal the metal before starting with the tap, but still no luck. So rather than burn another 3 hours at the lathe, I thought I ask if there is another way or if anyone out there has a couple of spares?
