Hi folks, I've been messing with this 6 string tuning a little and am wondering if anyone else has used it or a transposed version of it?
Lo to Hi: E A C# E G# B Open, it's a big fat A Major9 chord or you can grab a C#m or E chord too. Does anyone have any song examples with any variants of this?

Chuck, hello from the North. Welcome to the Forum. When I was first playing lap steel I stumbled on just about that tuning.
I was using (L2H): A C# E G# B E
As you discovered, it's a great tuning with the I, IV and vi all at the same fret. I later learned here on the Forum that both b0b and Greg Leisz have used it. Pretty fancy company Cool
I think that a Forum search might turn up one of those threads. If you haven't already discovered it, you might want to check out Brad's Page of Steel for lots of good stuff including tunings. Sorry that I don't have any tunes for you, I just worked up songs as I needed them. I hope that there's something useful or interesting here.
