James, I see a few guys playing on Youtube who play flat handed and do not block at all! They sound like they are playing a sitar. That raised knuckle right hand form is standard for attaining good palm blocking. It makes a world of difference in tone.

Great example, I'll definitely be studying that.

And maybe Tom had had an extra glass of iced tea that day or something but he really kicks the volume up through the first half of that solo. Love that overdrive.

Not really trying to make a point James but I would put his blocking and tone up against anyone. Just giving my old ZB buddy a poke. All in fun.
