Hello Everyone - I'm a new member and I wanted to introduce myself. While I'm not a steel player (Teles are my deal) I am a big fan of the steel guitar. As an Arkansas hillbilly I grew up listening to Bob Wills, bluegrass and country. My father is a big Wills fan and used to go to his shows in Oklahoma in the late 30s early 40s. If any of you are ever in Memphis give me a shout.

Thanks everyone for the welcome. Hey Skip, I haven't been to any other jams but let me know when the next one is and I'll try to make it. I've been working with some guys to put a group together and it looks like it might actually happen.

Welcome Chris. You are going to enjoy this forum. Folks here are so nice , and always willing to offer any help you ask for (or sometimes don't ask for, lol). Something to think on just for starters....watch out for any loose possums you see running around in here!
Joy to you
