Steel guitar at Barnes & Noble

Post by Chris Lackner »

I was at a Barnes & Nobles the other day and they played a steel guitar instrumental on the store sound system. They usually play, shall we say, modern and radio-friendly music. Are there any contemporary musicians putting out (possibly hawaiian inspired) steel guitar songs for a wide audience? I'm left scratching my head and wishing I knew what song it was. Thanks.

If you're not familiar with the Vanduras, that would be a guess.

Thanks for the guess. It might have been them. Either way, you've tipped me off to some good stuff. Their Stereolab cover is infectious.
