Sounds like the makings of a steel get together.

I'm on the western side of Rochester. As a brand new rookie I would be learning, not contributing, but would certainly be up for some sort of gathering. The more input I can get, the faster I'll learn.

You guys should talk to Dave Borissoff, the guy who runs Hipshot Music Products in Interlaken, near Ithica.

He's an excellent steel player.

He wouldn't want my help. I am a builder in training now. Haven't played out in 3 years.

I'll be flying to Jamestown for the summer on 4/25/2012. I'll see Joe, but it would be nice to see some other bands, like in Buffalo. I went to UB many years ago, and played many R'n'R clubs which are probably gone now.

Hi Ken When you’re here I am sure you are going to see Joe with his greet band Willow Creek. Make sure you catch Jim (STEEL) Duvall with is band Ghost Riders He is a great player with a great band. Then maybe you might be able to catch Ken Peterson with Paul Zittel true country music. I will be playing with The All hank Band in May at the Warsaw Theater a bit of a drive but it is on a Wed afternoon you might be able to catch Harold Rosenberg with is band Country Memories. My good friend and great steel player Ed Meadway Would be up to jamming sometime if it works for you. And make sure you catch our local hero Gene Hilts. With his band Rustic Ramblers I know they play around Jamestown. Gene is sounding better every time I hear him and now he has a Webb Amp I am sure Joe could help you find where everyone is at. One thing with all the above bands they are playing true country music. You know I guess Steel guitar is a live here in western N Y Mark.

Mark. I know Gene and Howard and the rest of the Rustic River band very well. I have sat in with them a few times. Gene is indeed one of the premier steel players I have heard.

I have a house in L.A. and a house in Panama, NY and switch between them winter and summer. Kinda the best of both worlds and surely gives me a chance to to catch musicians on both coasts. I will jot down your notes for future use.
