Murnel, Richard, and myself would like to thank Albert Talley and his wonderful staff for inviting us back to perform on the roster this year. We're actually just tickled to death to be in the way....
We would also like to thank the staff band for donating your time...REALLY appreciate it!!
A HUGE thanks to Donna and Steve Palousek for making the Friday night jam happen for us. We couldn't have made it through without you.....we love you guys! Steve, you are a truly gifted steel player, I don't know how many times I got lost that night from listening to what you were pulling out of that guitar...
Murnel would like to thank Chili's for the hamburger that made him miss both of our sets on Friday. 
Last but not least, we would like to thank the steel guitar community for continually supporting this wonderful instrument that has changed our lives. Your comments to us throughout the weekend are truly appreciated more than you know...

Joe, your set with Richard and Murnel was just killer! All three of you just played fantastic solos, one right after the other. Both Cajun and non-Cajun stuff. And it was great to finally meet you. Jr. Martin had told me about you so many years ago when we were students together at Jeff Newman's that I thought you'd have to be much older by now! Either that or the Cajun diet must contain a lot of preservatives! LOL! Anyway, great job to all you guys for a great set!

Jim, thanks so much for the compliments. It's all I can do to keep up with the chops of the other two! Was so great to finally meet you, I have been a long time fan of your playing (and your forum humor). Didn't realize you attended Jeff's school until Jr. Martin mentioned it to me the other night. Wish we could have talked longer. We played 4 sets the whole weekend and it was a blur. I missed so many performance sets of players I really wanted to hear.
As for my age, it's all smoke and mirrors.

| Joe, you guys rock. I particularly like when the three of you play those parts together. It fills the room with sound reminding me of the time I heard Bob White and Pee Wee Whitewing play together. And I guess it might be cause I got German blood, I like them squeezeboxes too. And my buddy Steve Palousek, probably one of the most talented steel players there, but the most twisted sense of humor. My kind of guy. Joe's got a pretty good sense of humor too and uses it it well as the spokesman for the group on stage. |
