Marlen SD 10 Black Mica Like New

Post by Richard Fitzgerald »

Selling this Marlen SD10 E9th, 3 and 5, basic Emmons set up. This guitar is as new and has spent its life in its case in a closet. The man that purchased it new passed away shortly after buying it and his daughter packed it away. I had the guitar serviced and put new strings on it. It plays beautifully and sounds great. If I didn't play a C6th neck I would keep it. This I believe is as near to new as you can get without buying new. The fret board is metal and one of the nicer ones I have ever seen. The case is in great condition though it does have a couple of really small marks. Selling price is $1,450.00 plus shipping. Any questions please contact me through the forum or contact me at 252-393-2903 Email: mastar@ec.rr.com Thanks for looking. Rick

Rick sent me pictures of it after him and I made a deal it is a really nice guitar,I just want it to play and I know Marlens are tone monsters, this one looks like a truetone pick up which is my favorite pick up,I think emmons gets the tone from them (just my opinion:). Looking forward to getting this and taking it to Gary Prestons Jam in Columbus,I also bought a Nashville 400 to go with it:)... A Marlen and NV 400 should have it going on:)....especially with the JBL speaker it has in it....

Congrats! I have owned two Marlens, now I have an Emmons, but I loved both of my Marlens, super guitars IMHO...If I had had the extra money, I would have jumped on this one!

I want Fred Justice to know I will probably order a guitar from him in the fall,I just couldn't pass this up... (fred I hope you understand) I will have one to play while you build me one...in 1987 I done without a steel while Paul franklin Sr built me a new franklin He is a great man you won't find a better craftsman than him anyplace.I played it over 20 years never put any tool on it except once in a GREAT while tune a pull and then not very often:)..
I'm very excited about this !!!! getting a Nashville 400 from Allen Howington with a JBL....YESSSSS

Bill,
Nice looking Marlen, I'd like first chance at buying it from you when you're finished with it (after your next Franklin comes into play). Your amp is on its way and I have sent you an email for follow-up.

Thanks,

Allen

Well If we could work out a deal where I give Fred a the required deposit then I could make arrangements to sell it to you when my new one is finished one exception is I love this new to me Marlen to much to sell... it looks awful nice:)...And I know from what rick said there was a LONG line of guys wanting it....
Thanks,Bill
