If you're near Granger, TX this Saturday night 6/4/05, come by the Cotton Club for some country music. I'll be playing with Johnny Lyon, a great Texas traditional country singer in the vein of Bush/McCall/Potter. It should prove to be a fun time for sure - shuffles all night with lots of steel and fiddle! Great food there as well...

Jody....ah yes..the Cotton Club and Steakhouse...the first place I met Bobby Flores. Very cool, with the mezzanine and as you say, good food...Johnny Lyon was there that night also and folks, this lad can sing...you'll have fun.
Had a good time in Tulsa and looking forward to next time.

I've known and occasionally played for Johnny Lyon... Colonel Johnny Lyon, USAF Ret.... for 32 years, and he'd be very pleased to be called a "lad" , being that he's now 67 years of age!!!

Yes, the Colonel (as we affectionately call him) can definitely sing. He's been fronting some shows for Johnny Bush lately and doing a good job of it too.

And if you haven't seen Jody C. play, you owe it to yourself to see this most excellent player. If I wasn't working at the theatre that night, I'd be there.
