I have lost the tip of my left index finger (about half of the nail)in an industrial accident. As a result I find I've difficulty holding my 10 oz bar. Can anyone provide some counsel or advice? And using the middle finger isn't an option. |

I was taught that the bar should always lie on the strings, and the keft hand just guides the bar along. No need to lift it. That's why right hand blocking is used. - JACK |

And lifting the bar so the nose is only contacting one string for single string runs. Very important technique almost every player I have ever seen use. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) .
