Hi there,
Is there a way to remove paint from tolex and grill cloth without damaging them (or me!)?
Any and all input is most appreciated.
Thanks,
Lee

I used oven cleaner once. Didn't damage the tolex but didn't remove all the paint.

I actually used paint thinner once
to remove old painted stencils and it
worked, You can use an old tooth
and lightly brush it out of the cracks. To be safe,
try it on the bottom of the amp just
to be safe.

Hi guys,
Thanks for the suggestions!
I'll proceed cautiously and see if I can clean up the beat up old Fender I just got.
If that doesn't work, it may need re-covering.

Hi Jay,
That may be the solution!
Rick does awesome work, from what I've seen on the forum.
