1966 Guild Starfire III [Close Please]

'66 Guild Starfire III. Guild 'buckers SD-1's, factory Guild Bigsby, rocker bridge. Enclosed Schaller tuners. Thin arch top body. All original stuff...all there...Hoboken build.

Body appears to have been clear coated over finish and binding. Binding in decent shape. Mild belt buckle rash on back. Few scratches here and there. Pretty good overall shape. Cheap, thin light semi-rigid type non stock case.

Needs a fret job and maybe a board. Appears to have been sanded down. Hard to see in the photos, but there are indications of vertical sanding on the fingerboard. Rear of headstock has some lacquer cracking or is the result of respraying. This is purely cosmetic. No structural damage that I'm aware of.

I need $1100 for quick sale in light of the fret/board work needed and no original case. All shipping and packing charges extra. Verifiable checks, money orders. No paypal. I'll pack it myself and ship it insured by either FedEx or US postal.

Thanks for the plug Joe. It's a good 'ol axe for any music style. For a 60's vibey thang, I plug it into an old Silvertone 1482 with a little analog slapback and it's pretty nice. Country, rockabilly, jazz it works.

One year bump. Had a local player really interested, came by and played it a few times, but he decided on a more modern instrument. Had no complaints with the playability though.
