I got an email from Ken Fox, amp guru and new Georgia resident, and he's gonna be there. As usual, there will be LOTS of surprises, and all proceeds will go to the Shriners' Hospital!

Thanks to those local players who've offered suggestions about the convention. As most of you know, if you're a steel player, and you want to get onstage and play, you can. It's that simple. And I GUARANTEE, NOTHING brings the house down like a local guy burning it up! Bring them steel git-tars and be ready!!

I am looking forward to this great show again, and we really appreciate Charles for keeping this show going after the loss of Buddy Walker. If you haven't heard Ron Elliott before, you're in for a treat as he is a great player. When it comes to tone, touch and taste, Ron is at the top of the list.
I hope to see everyone there.

Right again Herby. Ron has been one of my favorites for many years. Great player and he can also keep you in stitches with some of his stories. I am really looking forward to seeing and hearing Ron again. It goes without saying,Herby, your set is always one of the highlights of any show.
See ya there,
Jim

I just got word that Tony Prior, one of my favorite short people, and a GREAT steel player, will be bringing his band. Actually, it's Matt, the teenage Tele terror's band, but they let Tony hang around, 'cause he's the only one who's old enough to drive at night
Seriously, these guys brought down the house back in February, and we're glad to have 'em coming back.

Ok, Stephen, I'll send you the $20 we talked about..but you're gonna have to wait until I get a gig that pays me $20 !
Saluda..always a great way to spend the day..couldn't ask for a nicer bunch of folks to visit and hang with...
The guys and I are looking forward to this again for sure...
but I dunno' about that GREAT thing...thats a bit more than I can live up to...

Uh, Tony there's been a tiny error, see? I mean, I like you, and you're my friend, but what I meant was, you're a great steel player, see, 'cause John Fabian and Bud Carter are real nice guys, who build, well, GREAT steel guitars, and, well, since you play a Carter, and I think they're great guitars...
Sorry for any misunderstanding.
