Just wanted to post some pictures of my latest D-10 Rittenberry. Gary's attention to detail on his guitars make them a joy to play and just fantastic tone. Had three gigs over the weekend with the final at one of our state fairs(Tunbridge) on the main stage. Sure did shine. Such a precise instrument. Thanks Gary!

Fine local steel player Larry Bevins giving it a go before our show.

At the Source in Cookeville TN!
Scott Truax's BEAUTIFUL Guitar in the background.

George,

MANY Thanks for sending me pics of my guitar when you were at Gary's getting your 2nd Rittenberry.
Also, glad you are safe and sound, home in our Green Mountain State.

Ritts are works of art, and tone monsters, as well, aren't they? This wood/lacquer is my 2d as well.
I Love it !!!!!

BTW: If you have all of Larry Bevins' moves mastered; please, send them off to me !!! (When
Dick Willis and I knew him years ago, he was a monster player then) Please, give him my best !!

I don't think many folks on this forum know what a fine musician you are, either. But, my Dad did. He
told me how much he admired your fiddle, banjo,
and steel playing.

Take care of our self....
Best,
Scott

Hi George and Scott. That's 2 more beautiful Rittenberry's. Very Happy
I know you both love and enjoy yours as much as I do mine.
I think everyone should have 2 steels from the steel master.

"Reverend Rittenberry" continues to build some of the most toneful, uber-designed steels ever! They just keep getting better & better. He just came out with a new pedal design that greatly increases the "feel" of the pedals. I have them on my S-10 but am going to retro-fit them on my #1 D-10!I am still searching for an excuse to order a 3rd Ritt!!

Keep up the good work Gary!

Jim

Hey Carl,

You notice in the back my speaker cabs?? Tim Metzgner's! Yup two Ritts one to keep set up for practice and one in the box for gigs's. Identical set up except for the new pedals,(and a couple of other things!) and the slanted pearl front. Got it made!

Hey George, Those are really great looking speakers.
Thought I'd send a pic of my Blue Ritt with matching
seat and the speakers that Tim made for me. I Originaly
I did the speaker cabs in black the way you mentioned
but then I found some nice blue tolex and covered them
with that, so everything would be fairly close in color. Very Happy

This is the way I originaly had them stained.

Very nice Carl! I thought of covering mine but I love the sound I get with just the bare wood. I think it resonates better, who knows.

One great thing about being a newbie is everything's so fresh. Some amazing builders out there and it's great to see and hear so many awesome players when you start loooking up the information from a thread like this.
That's a beautiful steel George S! I'm partial to the Black-Metal look myself.
I just had one question about Rittenberry's pedals. Is it the shape of the pedals themselves, which look ergonomically fluid and quite slick compared to your average design, or is it something in the carriage which is "new" on your latest Rittenberry?
Thanks,
-Dan

Hi Daniel,
The pedals on George's guitar are the newer style that Gary came out with a few months back. They are shaped really nice & make actuating the pedals smoother & easier. I got them on my 2nd Ritt and liked 'em so much that I ordered them to retrofit on my other (2 year old) Ritt! I can easily state that Gary builds the most amazing sounding guitars I've ever heard - their sound is the defining difference between Ritts & other makers guitars.

Dan,
Pretty much what Jim has said about the new design of the pedals on my second Rittenberry. Now mind you, I'm not disaapointed with the pedal response on my first Rittenberry (2011) what so ever, I intend on sharing each of these guitars on stage as they are virtually identical. One is always set up for practice and the other in the box ready to go on the weekends. I don't think it's nessesary for me personally to change the pedals on my 2011. Precision intruments, great tone machine!

Congratulations! Beautiful guitar. I'm sure it's another great guitar as all of Gary's guitars are. I have #88 and I'm very pleased with it.

Hadn't seen a RB guitar that I don't like. Especially like the mica tops/lacquer front, rear aprons. Beautiful guitars.
