We just finalized the line-up for The Steel Summit, a celebration of steel and slide guitars at this summer's 12th Annual Cisco Systems Bluesfest in Ottawa.
David Lindley, Bill Frisell with Greg Leisz, the Campbell Brothers, Harry Manx, the Royal Crowns (featuring Bob Taillefer), Don Rooke, and Jonathan Candler, the 13-year-old steel prodigy from Yuma, have all confirmed.
It's a one-day steel extravaganza that will reach a climax when the Campbells take the stage to lead the jam finale.
So if you're in our neighborhood July 16, drop on by. Should be quite a show. |

Michael, We are looking forward to a good time in Canada. Hope it thaws out by then  Jonathan is excite about playing and meeting the Campbell brothers and all the rest of the players. He is refining his blues chops, im sure it will be a good show!!! Talk to you later, Randy |

Michael-
Is there a site or e-mail we could get more information? I'm doing my best to maintain a site of steel guitar shows and conventions. It doesn't matter how small, if it's open to the public, we want to do our part to let others know. This way we can promote the steel guitar together.
Either send me an e-mail or post for more details so we can put it on the STEEL GUITAR SHOW CALENDAR.

I want to thank my friend Michael Bate for including me in this impressive line-up.
I will be playing with The Royal Crowns, an excellent Rockabilly band from Toronto.
If you like the steel guitar played with an edge, this steel summit is for you!
