thats wonderful - love the space put in the tune, sparse and snappy.
not to mention a pretty polished video, certainly not shot with a flip!
I did a theater run of Hank Williams "Lost Highway" last spring and we had a great band and had a fantastic time playing dress up and playing about 30 of Hanks tunes. I listened to that TimeLife 10CD box set for a month straight to get the feel of the music - we tried to do it as authentic as possible. my old '54 Fender Dual was barkin' on them cuts - thrilled to play those old tunes again. _________________ '65 Sho-Bud D-10 Permanent • '54 Fender Dual-8 • Clinesmith T-8 • '38 Ric Bakelite • '92 Emmons D-10 Legrande II |

A nice job on an old HW Sr. hit. Great steel playing and great backup. I hope to hear more from this group, _________________ "Shoot low boys, the're ridin' Shetlands" |

Real nice playing & style!
Live recording or lip-synch?
Could you tell us about some of the instruments being used?
A lefty Epiphone must be pretty rare! How about the Gretsch? Reissue?
Look forward to seeing more!
Thanks for posting |

Hey guys, thanks for listening and for the comments! Rick - To answer your questions; It was recorded live with a wide shot then we did the cutaways to playback of that recording. I know that old lefty Epiphone is a rarity. I think the Gretsch is a newer one. |

Hey Isaac, thanks for posting this video. I didnt even know it was out. I gotta call my agent!
Hello Rick, the Epiphone I'm playing in the video is 1951 Epiphone Zephyr Emperor vari-tone model.
It has the crazy vari-tone push button pickup selector to choose combinations of the three Manhattan mini humbuckers.
With the exception of some shrinking binding it is remarkably solid and all original and aside from being larger than my car it is alot of fun to play.
It is the only lefty from the 50's I have seen over the years and so Im happy to have it. |
